Group was engaged to conduct an audit of the existing Distributed Antenna
System (DAS) for a Defence Building in Canberra.
A RF (Radio Frequency) Walk Test was undertaken to determine the current indoor mobile phone coverage.
The
tests measured both signal strength and quality elements of the existing mobile
phone signal levels. This is for all the Carriers (Telstra, Optus and VHA).
Measurements for UMTS (3G) and LTE (4G) were taken.
In order to determine the performance of mobile networks, three main components such as signal strength, signal quality and capacity was measured and analysed and a final IBC (mobile phone coverage) report was provided.
